As we had the pleasure of announcing on twitter a while back, we have secured a spot in the IEM Oakland PUBG tournament. This is an incredible achievement for a team who has barely played together for a month, and we look to continue the streak of good performances that got us here. Following the announcement, we have talked to some of the guys who made it happen, in order to hear their thoughts about the qualification, and what’s ahead.
First of all, how does it feel to have secured a spot at IEM Oakland, the biggest PUBG tournament to date?
I could not be happier about attending IEM. To get the chance to play in this tournament with the other top teams is amazing. I am super excited to meet the lads and my friends in other teams, some whom I have known for more than 5 years.
Honestly, I still can’t believe it. For me, this is a dream come true, and I have not been able to stop smiling. On a more serious note, I am really thankful, and I feel blessed to have received this opportunity.
How are you going to prepare for the tournament?
We plan to grind PUBG around the clock. The time not spent practicing with the squad will be used to practice solo.
After a short period of celebration, the plan is to practice, practice and practice a bit more.
Do you have any advice for upcoming players who want to try their luck at creating a squad and competing?
My advice is to find people you enjoy playing with, and that have the same mindset as you. Stick together and practice a lot. Succeeding as a squad takes time.
Currently, the best thing you can do is to find the people that share your passion and your goals. Start off by playing with your friends and take it from there. Being a pro player requires a lot of sacrifice so you need to be ready for that.
And finally, do you have any finishing thoughts, maybe a word to the people encouraging and cheering you on through social media?
Big thanks to everybody for the kind words. The support we have received from the community and from other pro players has been overwhelming. Much love to you guys.
I would just like to thank everyone for the messages and the social media interaction. Also, I am very happy about the current state of the pro community. It is really a pleasure to play and compete with all of you, lets keep it that way!
As we approach IEM, expect more content regarding our practice, travel, and the tournament itself. Be sure to check out our social media as well as the website. Join the ride!
